The Royal Family Attends Trooping The Colour

The Royal Family Attends Trooping The Colour

Earlier today Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex made her first appearance since welcoming her son Archie Harrison at The Queen’s Birthday Parade, Trooping The Colour. The Duchess rode in a carriage with her husband, The Duchess of Cornwall & The Duchess of Cambridge. Hopefully, next year Harry & Meghan will bring little Archie on the balcony (little Prince Louis made his debut today).

This year, The Queen reviewed – as is the custom – her personal troops, the Household Division on Horse Guards Parade before taking the salute. Royal Family members watch the inspection of the troops within the building before heading back with Her Majesty to Buckingham Palace for the final parade, gun salute and the Royal Air Force fly-past. Should you want to watch the parade, click here for the full event.

The Royal Family Attends Trooping The Colour

Earlier today Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex made her very first appearance at The Queen’s Birthday Parade, Trooping The Colour. The Duchess rode in a carriage with her husband and The Duke of Kent. For her first appearance, The Duchess wore a beyspoke Carolina Herrera dress with a Philip Treacy hat.

What is Trooping The Colour? Well, it’s the official celebration of The Queen’s Birthday. While Her Majesty’s birthday is on April 21st, it is usually on the 2nd Saturday of June that the official celebration takes place. Her Majesty and her family go to The Horse Guards Palace, where she will review the troops, before returning to Buckingham Palace for a final parade and the RAF flypast, which they enjoy from the balcony.
