The Duke & Duchess of Sussex’s Royal visit to Ireland: Day 1

Today, following the RAF celebrations, Meghan & Harry began their royal visit to Dublin, Ireland. While most of their engagements will be done tomorrow, they had 3 today. Tomorrow they will meet with President Michael D Higgins before going to Trinity College, Croke Park, The Famine Memorial, The EPIC Irish Emigration Museum and DogPatch before departing Dublin Airport.

They were first greeted upon arriving at Dublin Airport by private jet. They brought 11 people on their team, including Meghan’s hairstylist from her wedding. Meghan was wearing a forest green Givenchy top & skirt.


Then, they arrived in the city to meet with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, the Prime Minister of Ireland, to visit Gorvernment Buildings. Upon their arrival, they signed the visitor book.


In the evening, they were invited to attend a summer party at the British Embassy. Meghan changed her outfit for an Emilia Wickstead dress and Aquazurra heels she already wore on June 26th. Harry made a speech and the couple greeted many guests such as Caitriona Balfe and Sinéad Burke.

The Royal Family Celebrates The 100th Anniversary of The Royal Air Force

Today is a special day in British Military history because they celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Royal Air Force (even though the exact date is April 1st). For the occasion, The Royal Family attended a church service at Westminster Abbey, before witnessing a Presentation of the Colours on the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Following the parade, the family made their way to the balcony to witness the flypast. This is the second time that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gets to be on the balcony, following Trooping The Colour last June.

For the celebrations, The Duchess of Sussex wore a navy Dior dress and heels with a Stephen Jones hat (who also created the hat she wore to Prince Louis’ christening yesterday). Stay put on the website as we begin the Royal Visit in Ireland with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex later today !

Today, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge christened their third child, Prince Louis, at the Chapel Royal of St. James Palace. Among the guests were the child’s grandparents (The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Carole and Michael Middleton), his aunts and uncles (The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, James Middleton, Pippa & James Matthews) and his godparents. Shortly after the christening, the family went to Clarence House to enjoy some tea and cake before taking official photographs. These photos, taken by Matt Holyoak, should be released later in the week.

The Duchess of Sussex, for the occasion, wore a bespoke olive green Ralph Lauren dress with a Stephen Jones hat, and added olive green high heels to go with her outfit.

Earlier today, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a reception at Marklborough House for the Young Leaders of the Commonwealth. They met various delegates from the Commonwealth but in particular those of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand ahead of the tour this fall. This was an important event for Harry as Her Majesty The Queen named him Commonwealth Youth Ambassador last April. The Duchess looked lovely as always, this time in a yellow Brandon Maxwell dress.

Earlier today, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex attended the 2nd day of the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park to cheer on Prince Harry as he played polo to raise money for some of his patronages. Just like yesterday, she seemed pretty relaxed.

Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, attended earlier today the first day of the Audi Polo Challenge to cheer on her husband Harry and her brother-in-law William as they took part in a charity match. The Dukes were raising money for charities they patron. Meghan was joined by her friend Serena Williams and Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian. Let’s hope Meghan supports Serena at Wimbledon on Monday.

Earlier this evening, TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended The Queen’s Young Leaders Awards held at Buckingham Palace. They accompanied Her Majesty The Queen, who handed out the awards this year’s Young Leaders from the Commonwealth. Following the ceremony, TRH got to talk with the winners.

The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. Winners of this prestigious Award will receive a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK during which they will collect their Award from Her Majesty The Queen. With this support, Award winners will be expected to continue and develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities.

Earlier today, The Duchess of Sussex made her debut at Royal Ascot with her husband and other members of the Royal Family. Meghan and Harry handed over the prize to the winner of the St James’ Palace Stakes, Frankie Dettori and his horse Wihtout Parole. She was also seen chatting with her father-in-law, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and The Queen.

Royal Ascot is Britain’s most valuable race meeting, attracting many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete for more than £7.3m in prize money. Our eighteen Group races, eight of them Group One, have made household names of Royal Ascot winners like Black Caviar, Frankel and Yeats. Each year the meeting is broadcast to audiences around the globe, yet to experience it in person is something altogether more special.

A month after their own nuptials, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the wedding of the Duke’s cousin, Celia McCorquodale to George Woodhouse in Lincolnshire yesterday. Celia is the niece of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. They greeted friends on their way to St Andrew and St Mary’s Church. For the occasion, The Duchess wore a white and blue dress with a white fascinator and white heels.

Today Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II were in Cheshire to attend several royal engagements. They were first seen arriving at Runcorn Station by Royal Train. They were greated by crowds before heading to the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre to open the Mersey Getaway Bridge. They witnessed a performance by local schoolchildren. Afterwards, they attended the opening of Storyhouse Theatre, where they saw a storytelling session for nursery children, they met The Storyhouse Young Leaders and more, before enjoing a few performances inside the theatre. They also observed a minute of silence of all Greenfell Tower vicitims to mark the first anniversary of the fire.
